It does not have to be this way&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Don&#8217;t get me wrong&#8230; getting healthy and fit IS an investment in yourself that is worth every penny. However there are money-saving ways to handle it that give RESULTS! Here are some tips&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>If the gym is too expensive &#8211; GET A WORKOUT PROGRAM!<\/strong>You can get a legitimate result-giving workout in your living room for the cost of a few classes. (hint hint&#8230; I might know a few \ud83d\ude09 AND!!! you get to keep it!!! The trainer never goes away! The trick is to keep yourself motivated&#8230; tips:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Find your soul-mate workout:\u00a0<\/strong>If you have a workout you love you are more likely to consistently push play.\u00a0For some (myself included) this is the first and final roadblock. Let me be honest I DID NOT NATURALLY LIKE WORKING OUT! It took me a few tries but I have found a workout I enjoy. For you, this can be a lot easier \ud83d\ude42<a style=\"color: #6dc6dd;\" href=\"mailto:lgfitandfree@gmail.com?subject=Help%20me%20find%20a%20workout%20please!\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">MESSAGE ME<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0and we&#8217;ll talk about your likes\/dislikes and what there is out there for you.<br \/>\n<strong>2. Treat it like a scheduled gym class:<\/strong>\u00a0Plan ahead to have a specific time that you workout. Just like you would at the gym.<br \/>\n<strong>3. Invite a friend:<\/strong>\u00a0It makes the class more interesting and gives you the needed accountability<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>If a trainer is too\u00a0<\/strong><strong>expensive&#8230; HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE:\u00a0<\/strong>We go see trainers for structure and accountability so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Join an online community:\u00a0<\/strong>Virtual exercise partners are quite handy! Go high-tech:\u00a0<\/strong>There is an app for EVERYTHING! Ask the google and find one that works for you. Ex:\u00a0<a style=\"color: #6dc6dd;\" href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/waterlogged-drink-more-water\/id352199775?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Waterlogged<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">,\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"color: #6dc6dd;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.beachbody.com\/product\/fitness_programs\/official-fitness-workout-p90x-app-for-iphone.do\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">P90X<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">,<\/span><a style=\"color: #6dc6dd;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myfitnesspal.com\/apps\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">FitnessPal.<\/span><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>3. Take a photo:<\/strong>\u00a0A\u00a0&#8220;before&#8221; photo can be a massive motivator and a huge pat on the back as you continue to improve. Look at how much you have accomplished! Plus when the scale doesn&#8217;t change you can still see the physical differences the muscle you built made to your physique<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fitness Equipment&#8230; AH!:\u00a0<\/strong>Building muscles on the cheap&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Things around the house can prove to be great fitness equipment<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; get creative and\u00a0be sure to be able to have a good grip on them. Weights can be\u00a0canned good &amp;\u00a0small children. Furniture &amp; walls for stability. A stepping stool or milk crate for a Step.<br \/>\n<strong>2. With a bit of pre-planning\u00a0you can eat well and not break the bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Stick to the basics:\u00a0<\/strong><strong style=\"color: #555555;\">\u00a0<\/strong>&#8220;Shop seasonal produce, lean meats, and other foods on the periphery of your grocery store,&#8221;\u00a0says JJ Virgin, a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Certified Health and Fitness Instructor. &#8220;The center aisles are usually where packaged and processed foods are kept. Watch for sales on meat, and buy nuts or beans in bulk.&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong>2. Get Informed: Look to legitimate nutritional guides.<\/strong>\u00a0Look for the books by certified nutritionists &#8211; not fad faux pas.\u00a0Michael Pollan&#8217;s\u00a0<em style=\"color: #555555;\">Food Rules<\/em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0is a good place to start. Also, the\u00a0nutrition guides that come with\u00a0Beachbody DVD programs are excellent resources.<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>3. Plan meals ahead of time:\u00a0<\/strong>Go into the store with a mission, complete it and leave. Plan your meals ahead, write down the needed ingredients, purchase them, and LEAVE. If this is a struggle, there are plenty of meal-planning apps that can make this easy.\u00a0Also, don&#8217;t shop hungry. (SIDE NOTE: The grocery store is my playground so I tend to wander&#8230; if this is you then I would get your needed things &#8211; buy them &#8211; and then have a wander.
